What is freeze-drying?

Freeze-drying is a technique where water is removed from cooked and frozen food through sublimation, using extremely low pressure and temperature. This preserves the food’s nutrients, flavour and texture without the need for additives.

How to prepare Instabites?

Discard oxygen absorber.
Add hot water up to the water mark or as mentioned on the tub. Stir once and close the lid for 6 to 10 mins.
OR
Empty contents into a bowl, add the specified amount of room temperature water, stir well, cover it with a lid and microwave for 2min.

PS: If you forgot to remove the oxygen absorber before adding water, fear not, your food remains safe. Simply remove the oxygen absorber and discard it.

Our Story

Instabites began with a mother's love and a mission to keep her children healthy, even while studying halfway around the world. Mrs. Mrudula Kadapala, a passionate mother and Home Science postgraduate, was deeply concerned about the quality of food her kids were eating in the USA. She longed to send them freshly cooked, nutritious meals from India—without relying on preservatives.

With her expertise, she discovered freeze-drying, the perfect method to preserve the essence of home-cooked food while maintaining its freshness and flavour. She began freeze-drying meals and sending them to her children, and soon, her wholesome, delicious meals became a hit not just with her family but with everyone who tasted them.

This overwhelming love for her food sparked a bigger idea, and after six years of dedicated research, Instabites was born. Today, we bring the comforting taste of home-cooked meals to people around the globe, ensuring that wherever you are, home is just a bite away.
