Freeze-drying is a process in which water trapped in the cooked and frozen food is removed from the cooked food by sublimation using very low pressure and temperature.

How to prepare instabites?

  • Discard oxygen absorber.
    PS: fear not: if you happen to forget before adding water, your food remains safe - simply remove the oxygen absorber and discard it.

  • Add hot water up to the water mark or as mentioned on the tub. Stir well, and Close the lid for 6 to 10 mins.

  • OR

  • Empty contents into a bowl, Add specified amount of room temperature water, Stir well, cover it with lid and & microwave for 2min.

Our Story

It all started when Mrs. Mrudula Kadapala, a mother who was always concerned about her children's eating habits while they were studying overseas. She wished she could send freshly cooked healthy home food from India to the USA with out adding any preservatives. Being a Home Science postgraduate she zeroed in on freeze drying as the best method to dehydrate foods.

She started freeze-drying and sending food to her kids. There was an overwhelming response not just from her kids but from everyone who tried her products and instantly fell in love with them! This demand and craving for her food by many ignited the business idea to make it commercial.

After 6 years of thorough research, Instabites was born. We try to bring you the taste of home cooked meals even when you are far away from home.
